On Saturday, March 8, 2008 our Bible Basic’s
Sunday School class sponsored a Progressive Dinner and invited all to attend.
The response was overwhelming and about forty persons participated. The salad
was the first stop and was hosted by Jim and Doris Fultz. The venue was changed
from their home to the church fellowship hall because of the large crowd.
Unfortunately, no camera was available.
The group then motored to the home
of Chris and Susie Botkin where we enjoyed the main course consisting of
Caribbean/Jamacan Jerk Chicken, Sweet Potato Casserole, Acini de Pepe Salad, and
Stewed Apples. Oh yes, and tea to drink - - lots of it. The chicken was hot! |

Upon completing the
main course and enjoying the fellowship
it was on to Sam and
Gail Carr's home for dessert - -
and what a spread! |

After making the hard decisions, the group moved to the
basement to eat their desert and begin the Chinese Auction. Ron Clements was
"referee", explaining and enforcing the rules. |

Gifts were opened and varied from wall
hangings to butterflies to bunny rabbits, etc.
Here Jim (right) admires Doris' cap
while he received a colorful pair of striped socks.
The fun an laughter lasted
until about 10:00 pm - - or you might say 11:00 pm, since the clocks had to be
set forward for daylight saving time that night. |

| While many in the
group helped furnish the food, we especially thank those who took a leadership
role in making this event possible, i.e., Chris and Susie Botkin (seated left),
Doris and Jim Fultz (seated right). Sam and Gail Carr (standing left), and Ron
Clements. (standing center).
Everyone present enjoyed it immensely!!! |
