Mount Horeb
became interested in developing a website when our minister and a couple of
laymen attended a Seminar hosted by Shenandoah Presbytery in June 2000. Shortly
thereafter a copy of MS FrontPage 2000 was purchased and the learning process
began.
In February, 2001 after session approval of the proposed
content the web site was launched. It is reviewed and updated each week. Major
contributors are Laura Meek - Church Secretary, Brenda Bosserman - Youth
Advisor, Rufus Powers - manager of Edgewood Cemetery and Donna Patterson,
Strengthening Committee Chair. While the website's objective is to inform
members of the congregation and community of upcoming and past program events,
it also may serve as a catalyst for other churches seeking new program ideas.
Response to the site has been good and we continue to
appreciate suggestions and corrections received from viewers. E-mail access to
the Webservant appears at the bottom of most pages and we look forward to
hearing from you. Rest assured your email address will be kept confidential.

A youth section
was added in December, 2001 covering major youth events. You can now navigate
through the youth pages more easily to see the full scope of this program. The
Edgewood Cemetery records were also added to assist those persons who may be
interested in finding their ancestors and developing their own family tree.
